Ways of Giving

A 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, TLC accepts a variety of gifts as outlined in our Gift Acceptance Policy, including:

  • Gifts of cash
  • Gifts of securities, including stock, bonds, mutual funds, and IRAs
  • Gifts of real property, including homes, business property, and conservation lands
  • Gifts of interest in conservation lands and working lands (conservation agreements)
  • Deferred gifts, such as bequests and trusts

Certain tax advantages exist with each type of gift, particularly gifts of appreciated property, and we encourage you to consult your accountant and/or attorney before making a gift to TLC.

For the campaign, pledges may be paid over a three- to five-year period.
