Possible Internship Objectives

Research corporations and foundations in an effort to find new sources of funding for TLC
Write grant proposals and progress reports to corporations and foundations

Possible Responsibilities

Use Internet resources to conduct research on corporations and foundations in an effort to build TLC’s corporate and foundation programs
With the Director of Development’s guidance, write grant proposals to corporations and foundations, track results and complete progress reports for grants received
Help plan and work special events, including researching possible venues, caterers and entertainment; recruit sponsorships; address and mail invitations; work the event and recruit other volunteers to work the event
Help with mass mailings
Research best practices related to membership and fundraising as directed by staff

Hours per Week	10-20
Location	TLC Office in Raleigh, or remote location
Financial Assistance	Unfunded
Application Deadlines	Internships are available during fall and spring semesters, and during the summer months. Please apply by December 1 for a spring internship, April 1 for a summer internship, and July 1 for a fall internship.
