Possible Internship Objectives
- Assist the stewardship staff in the management of land owned by TLC
Possible Responsibilities
- Help implement the current season’s stewardship work plan
- Perform maintenance and improvement on properties managed for outdoor recreation
- Assist with volunteer workdays
- Mark boundaries and create new hiking trails
Desired Skills
- Resourcefulness
- Proficiency in navigation by compass and map
- Excellent organizational, leadership and oral communication skills
- Love of hard outdoor work
- Desire to contribute to making the Triangle a better place to live
- Willingness to engage in significant travel throughout the Triangle
- Good driving record is mandatory
Academic Qualifications
High school students and beyond are encouraged to apply.
