  • Land assessment and acquisition
  • Landowner contact
  • Structuring partnerships for funding and long-term stewardship
  • Heading up TLC's Working Lands Initiative in Chatham County

Background
B.S. in Agronomy and Animal Science, NC State University, 1981. I live with my family on a farm in Chatham County.

Two friends, Audrey Booth and Portia McKnight, introduced me to TLC. My first involvement with the organization was as a volunteer on the Land Committee in 1998. I was very impressed by the staff and volunteers and their dedication to TLC’s mission. Their enthusiasm was, apparently, contagious. As residents of the Triangle for the last twenty-five years, my family has benefited greatly from the foresight and diligence of others in establishing many wonderful institutions and organizations. I am excited to have the opportunity to help in this work to make our region a better place for future generations.
