Main Responsibilities
- Conservation planning for TLC’s priority areas
- Collaboration with state agencies and local governments
- Developing long-term conservation plans for TLC’s priority areas,
such as Mark’s Creek and the Deep River
- Determine how future land acquisitions can connect to other community assets such as schools, community facilities, greenways and parks
- Develop maps and other tools using GIS and modeling
Background
I received a bachelors degree in Environmental Studies from UNC-Chapel Hill in
2002, and a masters in Planning from the Department of City and Regional
Planning at UNC-Chapel Hill in 2007. I taught English in Kyoto, Japan for a
year before traveling to Thailand, Eastern Europe and Ireland with Willing
Workers of Organic Farms.
