Member Spotlight - November 2006![]() Danny and Caroline KadisNorth Carolina natives Danny and Caroline Kadis have been living in the Triangle since 1999. Originally from Goldsboro and High Point respectively, Danny and Caroline now live in Raleigh, where Danny is Executive Vice President of Centrex Properties, a commercial real estate, hotel development and management company. Caroline is a full-time mom to their daughter, Dylan, who just started kindergarten, and their 19-month-old son, Cooper. Danny believes that there should be a synergistic relationship between developers and conservation groups. He notes that in a fast-growing area like the Triangle, "it’s a race to claim each piece of undeveloped land, and developers have an unfair advantage in that race." Danny and Caroline have been members of TLC for five years, and Danny is currently serving on TLC’s Communications Committee. He and Caroline like to ride bikes on local greenways, go hiking, and kayak. Danny believes that his interest in conservation stems from his life-long love of the outdoors. He says that his time out west pursuing his undergraduate degrees in Biology and Geography from the University of Colorado at Boulder also contributes to his interest in environmental causes in general. Caroline attended Peace College and then East Carolina University. Danny met her while she was a student at ECU and he was working in the area. They then moved to Washington, DC while Danny completed the Masters of Public Policy program at Georgetown University.
