Frequently Asked Questions About Visiting and Using TLC Properties

Does TLC allow hunting on its properties?
TLC allows hunting on some properties we own, usually on land that had been hunted before TLC took ownership. Often, we continue those hunting arrangements because the hunters - either individuals or hunting clubs - help provide stewardship of the land. NOTE: If you plan to visit a TLC property during hunting season (generally October through December), please consider wearing blaze orange clothing.

Does TLC have any hunting leases available on its properties?
TLC does not currently have any leases available to hunt on TLC land. If you would like to be considered when a lease becomes open, please contact Walt Tysinger, Land Manager, with your general area of interest, the size of your club, and a short statement regarding your hunting philosophy.

Can I use a TLC property in my study/inventory/research?
Yes! Many properties owned or managed by TLC are available for research and education. We do ask that you contact Walt Tysinger, Land Manager, for a Special Activity Permit. This helps us track the use of our land and to ensure the resources are protected and the uses are not in conflict.
