Young Shutterbugs Help Save the Places You Love

| Three Raleigh students took home prizes in the statewide "Saving
the Places You Love" photo contest sponsored by North Carolina's
23 local land trusts and the Touchstone Energy electricity cooperatives. Victoria Cox, a home school student (at right), was awarded first and second place in the Central NC Middle School category for her photos "Nature's Gifts" and "Places for your toes." |

Two Ravenscroft School students also snapped up prizes. Svyatoslav Petrov (below, second from left) took third place in the Central NC High School category for "Natural Curiosity," and Laura Gillespie (below, second from right) took third place in the Central NC Middle School category for "God's Masterpiece."
The Ravenscroft winners are pictured below receiving their awards from Triangle Greenways Council president Don Belk (left) and TLC Executive Director Kevin Brice (right). Their middle school science teacher, Marcia Ostendorff, joins the group.
