Business partners help raise $9,000 for TLCLed by Great Outdoor Provision Company (GOPC), five local businesses helped to raise $9,000 for Triangle Land Conservancy on Land Trust Day, Saturday, June 4. Joining GOPC for the first time were two retailers catering to those who feed and watch birds. Wild Bird Center in Chapel Hill donated 10% of its sales, while Wild Birds Unlimited donated 5% from its three stores in Raleigh and Cary. Baja Burrito of Raleigh (25%) and Ninth Street Bakery Café of Durham (10% on Friday, June 3) participated for the second straight year. In addition to the percent-of-sales donations from our business partners, our in-store membership drive at the four GOPC stores also netted 21 new members! Though it’s too late now to support TLC through your Land Trust Day purchases this year, it’s always a good time to thank our business partners for their support. Next time you’re in GOPC, Baja Burrito, Wild Bird Center, Wild Birds Unlimited, or Ninth Street Bakery Café, be sure to thank them for supporting your local land trust!
